JINGUASHI SHRINE & RITUALS OF MOUNTAIN DEITIES

In 1896, Japanese merchant Tanaka Chobei came to Jinguashi mine and established the Shinto Shrine which enshrined Okuninushi-no- Mikoto, Kanayamahiko-no-Mikoto, and Sarutahiko-no-Mikoto. In every year, from June to July, the Mountain Deity Ritual is being held to pray for a safe and fruitful gold mining season.
